"I still get out and do what I can. I walk with my husband. I walk my family and my dogs. And things like that bring me the greatest feelings of health that I have these days.” "It is people who pause to appreciate life and give thanks who are happiest. If we change our thoughts, we change our world! Love and peace to you all." Rest in Peace, Brittany
"I have discovered that driving during post work rush hour takes me just as long as cycling the 20 km distance and it beats staring at the car in front of me and watching out for crazy drivers who weave in and out of traffic hoping to get ahead. Cycling is freedom from traffic as I'm able to use River Valley and designated bike trails for most of my journey. I love the feel of wind and feel of speed, the warmth of sun on my face, the view of nature next to me and surprise visits from birds and critters that inhabit the trails. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to enjoy this journey and get some exercise at the same time. “I think sometimes the way you skip along the street when you are happy or just in a hurry is itself a beautiful dance.” "I like to move because it keeps me healthy and strong. I feel happy when I go outside and ride my bike. I get exercise when I play games and that is fun!" "I move because I can and so I will. I love to play four square. I feel happy when I move and so I'll never stop!" "I move because it makes me feel so good! It gives me good health. I like to run! I feel so happy when I am moving." "Why I Move. "I like to move so I can be active and have fun. I feel happy when I go jump on my friend's trampoline!" "I think you should move becasue if you don't move one day you won't be able to even get up. I feel like if I don't exercise I can't do anything. When I move I feel HAPPY! I like biking because it moves my whole body." Photo credit: @brettkirkland10
