"I love a healthy lifestyle and I LOVE to workout!

"I'm...working out more regularly and happily than I ever have. That means I have better stamina for harder workouts and more energy throughout my day. I've also noticed that regular exercise has kept my migraines and asthma in check. I can see muscle definition coming back to my arms, abs, and legs, and yoga moves that felt far beyond my reach a few months ago are now a part of my practice. But the mental shift still feels like the most profound change. I find myself racing through work in the afternoons to ensure I don't miss my favorite yoga classes." "Leave all the afternoon for exercise and recreation, which are as necessary as reading. I will rather say more necessary, because health is worth more than learning." "With retirement coming, being overweight and inactive, I've decided it was time to make some life changes. [Moving also] changes [my] fiscal and mental health [too]." "But the thing is, it is about SO MUCH MORE than how your shirt fits or how you look in photos or how often you eat salad. Your weight is an indicator of your HEALTH. At 232 lbs, the extra weight my dad was carrying was affecting HIS HEALTH. Period." "No matter where you begin, everyone can do yoga. We become stronger, more flexible, more accepting of who we are....We all need a break from the chaos that our lives have become. There is so much dis-ease in our world and many health issues are related. Yoga can help relieve that stress!" "But I've learned that in the struggle between my body and sprint, in the battlefield of my mind, my spirit will always win. If it can just yell loud enough, these three words - take another step.
"[As a personal trainer], I tell them [clients] you have to look at it like being a kid in the playground, and that’s how I see fitness training. It’s not work to me, it’s fun! (Adult recess is what I tell my clients who hate to work out and look at it as a chore.) If you look at working out or physical activity as work, I know people will be reluctant to do it. Getting started is the hardest part, but once they do, it becomes part of their lifestyle. We break down any glass ceilings they’ve created for themselves and show them the only limitations that are placed are the ones you put on yourself. And if you want to feel healthy, be more fit and enjoy life; you have to take the first step. You can either go forwards or backwards. Which way would you like to step?"
